Zviripayi Idah Pswarayi-Riddihough is a global development leader with more than 35 years of executive experience, most recently as the World Bank's Global Director for Digital Transformation. There she led the Bank's work on digital public infrastructure, government digital services, and the use of AI to improve service delivery and create jobs across diverse sectors.
She has served as World Bank Country Director for Mozambique, Madagascar, Comoros, Seychelles, and Mauritius, and earlier for Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives — managing multi-billion-dollar portfolios and advising presidents, prime ministers, and finance ministers in fast-changing and fragile environments. Her earlier career spanned water-resources management, forestry and natural-resource stewardship, and climate resilience, including leading the World Bank's Africa Region contributions to COP16 and COP17. She holds a PhD from the University of Oxford and is fluent in English, French, Portuguese, and Shona.
